NEW!!! Daily JPSKILLZ Style Tip!

Spring is upon us and before you know it, you’ll be swapping out that Pea Coat for that dope Spring Blazer you bought last Fall.  Here’s what to wear to make the look really pop!  Wearing a T-shirt simply makes a great suit jacket look less formal, less structured and more Springy…if that’s a word?  I personally like to wear a white or black V-neck tee, but you can get away with anything. Try a rock-band tee, a college tee, or just a solid-color, and wear it with a structured jacket for a nice contrast.

Marvel has finally debut the variant cover to Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #157, from superstar artist Ed McGuinness!  Remember when I first Posted this?  Anyway!  Super exciting!  But also Super Depressing…The Web Head is one of my favorite characters.

Superman 2012!!!

Look it’s Tom Welling! No. It’s Brandon Routh! No. It’s HENRY CAViLL!!!! Zach Snyder has selected his Superman for the upcoming Superman film which is slated for December 2012. Apparently Henry has done work on The Tudors, which I do not watch, but if you do then you should be familiar with him. However, we’re not dealing with no squirly amateur here! No sir, we got ourselves a salty dog!! LoL Peep this: Henry was actually suppose to play the Man of Steel in Superman Returns, but when the directors changed hands, so did the lead role. Well, he’s definitely got the look, although personally, I wish Tom Welling would get the part, but that’s my own super hero oasis. What do you think?

Wait, Wait, Wait….You’re Telling Me…Venom’s A Hero!?

Looks like Marvel just keeps rolling out the surprises.  But this one, I’m not so sure I like.  To me, some Villains are meant to always be villains, but then again, anyone can change….who am I kidding, Eddie Brock can’t change…let alone Venom!?!?  Then again, change does take place from the inside out.  Which is why Venom has a NEW host!  Can you guess which one of Peter Parker’s famous high school bullies, that use to date Mary Jane, enlisted in the army and came home crippled that it could be!?  You guessed it…FLASH!!!  That’s right, Flash Thompson is the new Venom!  And I must admit, even if I don’t trust him, HIS SUIT IS BAD A$$!  And the concept for this storyline is handled well by Rick Remender and illustrated well by Tony Moore.  I’m excited to check this out in March!  For more info you can follow the jump.

The THUNDERCATS are BACK!

The Thundercats are back and looking better than ever do to an animated overhaul by WBA and Studio4°C’s use of the Japanese animated artistry of anime, “ThunderCats” characters Lion-O, Mumm-Ra, Panthro, Cheetara and others will spring off the screen with realistic cat-like characteristics inconceivable in previous incarnations.

The new “ThunderCats” will appeal to viewers who have loved the characters all their lives as well as young newcomers to the franchise. A sweeping tale combining swords and science and boasting ferocious battles with the highest of stakes, the grand origin story of Prince Lion-O’s ascension to the throne – and of those who would thwart his destiny at any cost – takes on epic dimensions in this sharp new telling. As the forces of good and evil battle each other in the quest for the fabled Stones of Power, Lion-O and his champions learn valuable lessons of loyalty, honor and mortality in every episode.

“ThunderCats” is executive produced by Sam Register (“Teen Titans,” “Ben 10,” “Batman: The Brave and the Bold”). Michael Jelenic (“Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” “Wonder Woman”) and Ethan Spaulding (“Avatar: The Last Airbender”) are the producers.

Based on the Rankin/Bass sci-fi jungle adventure cartoon, the new “ThunderCats” debuts later this year on Cartoon Network and promises an anime look to the series courtesy of Warner Bros. Animation and Japanese partners Studio4°C. “In addition to being Warner Bros. Animation’s first anime series, ThunderCats marks our most ambitious foray yet into fantasy,” WBA’s Sam Register said during the series announcement last June. “The realism and dynamic visual style we’ve achieved are sure to thrill viewers, and the cool weapons, vehicles and technology should help the show appeal to a diverse audience.”
