Looks like a gloomy Tuesday, and that’s okay! Decided to go Camo today and the beauty of Camo done right…is just wonderful.
You know the drill, “Hand down, MAN down!” LOL Been awhile since I last rocked my blue, Nike Lunar Flyknit Chukkas, but they’re ready when duty calls. The cool thing about the quite tone of my Fatigues is that they can blend with just about any color. $125
These Banana Republic, Fatigues are as the youngsters say, “EVERYTHING!” LoL They really do BLEND IN to whichever color you choose. Today’s color happens to be my favorite, Blue! Generally people don’t think of this combo, but it works. $10
The V-Neck is a simple Medium. I had a choice between a darker blue and this one and this one just fit. Not that the other one wouldn’t have worked, but that’s what makes Style Subjective. This a Mossimo. $12
I wasn’t even thinking of rockin my Green, Heritage 1981 jacket, but when I tried it, it was a match made in Heaven! It just, WORKS! ATTENTION! $30
Alright soldiers…Stealth Mode. #Fin.
As the saying goes, “Same ol’ sh*t, just a different day.” Style is all about Versatility! I’m Pretty much rockin the same outfit from yesterday. All I changed was the colors so this post will be short & sweet with one exception, the shirt.
This is my blue, Oxford! The only difference is the finish, price, and brand…which is where the irony is. I bought it from the GAP! Banana Republic…the GAP…same thing. LoL This is why you can’t be fooled into believing price means something. With a few minor exceptions of course. The detail that I want to point out, that I didn’t yesterday, are the buttons that are holding down the collar. This is only a preference, but I prefer the buttons because I like my collar stiff like a superhero, but hey that’s just my Personal Style. *Kanye Shrug* $25
Stay Stylish my friends. #JPSKILLZStyleTip
Happy Monday gentleman! Look alive! Monday comes with its own struggles, but Style shouldn’t be one of them. I make it a point to be fresh on Monday. I believe it just helps one to get motivated. Colors are a large part of Mood.
Black, Lunargrand boots are my launch pad! Usually a dark shoe & light pants shorter pant is very shortening, but gray is in the dark family as well as the light. That’s why it’s considered the middle ground. So it actually works quite well. $200
The pants are the gray version of the white Levi’s I wore in a previous post. Got them both on the same day! I wish I had went with a shorter length, but they fit well and give me some variety which is always good. Got em’ from Macy’s on sale! $30
Now. Let’s talk shirt & details. The shirt is Express…SIIIIKE! LoL It’s actually from Forever 21! a part of the Heritage 1981 collection! Remember, “It doesn’t have to be expensive, it just has to look that way!” The yellow really picks the Mood of the outfit up and the cut of the stitching is perfect for Nashville! I call it, “TAILORED COUNTRY!” LOL $20 The tie is from Macy’s as well, it’s M151 and it’s a Super Skinny Tie $10. While the belt is from Ross and is reversible. Remember, “every man needs a black and brown belt $12. The key to the tie is making sure it stops just above the belt buckle and right on top of the button. Why would you cover the focal point of your outfit? No need to have a gaudy center piece either fellas. The huge belt buckle has came and GONE! LoL Keep it simple.
Welp! See you tomorrow! Ya’ll come back now, ya hear!? #JPSKILLZStyleTip
It’s Hump Day and I’m feeling good! Like Arsenio says, “let’s get busy!”
“Started from the bottom now we here!” rolling with my Fatigue, Wingtip, Lunargrands today! Perfect for Khakis. And this military inspired look. $250
The pants are from Forever 21. They were a part of the Heritage 1981 collection. Got em’ about 3 years ago. Before Jumpers were in. Loved the low crotch area. Reminds me of the good ol’ Hammer days. LoL They’re perfect for adding some flare to a simple outfit. I could have just went with regular Khakis, but where’s the fun in that? They come with the roll so they keep you COOL & are perfect for low tops. $30
Nothing to see here, just a normal Haynes, white T’. But paired with a nice jacket it becomes a staple. $15 for a pack.
The jacket is also from the Heritage 1981 collection. It’s like a Members Only jacket so it’s cool enough for the heat. But obviously you can transition from AC rooms to outside Saunas. LoL $30
Finally, today I want to add something different that is often overlooked, but is essential to Style. The Hair Cut. How you rock your hair, facially & up top, matters. Fro’ Hawk = Edgy, Ceasar = Reserved and so on. Not every Hair Style works for you. It has to fit your Personal Style & your head shape. LoL But don’t be afraid to experiment. I have found that low around the sides & back fits my Head Shape & Style the best. I have a long face, but strong muscles on the side of my head. LoL So more up top looks better at least in my Personal Opinion. It’s called a Hair STYLE For a reason. The 5 o’clock shadow is in right now so, that is what it is. I love it! It’s a uniquely male trait & I’m all about Manliness! So MAN UP! LoL FYI no one has touched my head but me in over a decade! If you can do it yourself you can save money and more importantly TIME! And a pushed back hairline. Can’t stand looking like Lebron after leaving the barbershop! SMH Although I do miss the conversations/arguments! “There they go! There they go! Dat’s they one! Dat’s they one! Every time a black man mention Muhammed Ali a white man bring up Rocky Marceona!” LOL That’s a famous Eddie Murphy line from Coming to America if you are from another planet.
Oh and the Aviator shades add to the militant look. Okay I’m late, gotta’ roll! See ya’ll next time! #JPSKILLZStyleTip
