Welcome back. Who says boots have to be heavy? Oh and fellas, every man should own a white sweater 😉

If you’re like me then likely you too have been cooped up in the crib for the last 2 days because of the ice storm and are in need of a grocery run. Well I’m here to ensure that this transition goes as smoothly as possible. LoL I’m not going to even change out of what I’ve been lounging in and you don’t have to either thanks to the miracles that are Joggers & Top Coats! I simply strap on my Cole Haan Lunargrand Boots ($278) which are weather proof (Waterproof), and then wrap my Express Scarf ($25) around my neck & pull my H&M Skully ($5) over my my head, no need to even comb your hair! LoL Toss on my Express Top Coat ($278) and BOOM! I’m good for a PUBLIC appearance! LoLThe tailored Joggers (American Stitch $40 SALE) allow you to be fashionable while the Top Coat keeps you nice and tailored! Once again, fellas, your Lounge Style is just as important as your Public Style. It all consolidates under the same umbrella…your Personal Style! Oh and you can’t forget your headphones (JayBird Bluebuds X $160). Gotta’ tune out those grocery store tunes and be prepared for that long, Nashville Panic line. LoL “LIVE ABOVE IT!”
“Don’t wear white after Labor Day.” Okay…WHY? Exactly. This “rule” much like many other societal norms that we subscribe to without challenging the validity thereof (Ooops, nerd moment) is not based in anything substantial. It is merely the opinion of a person that was considered to be a Fashion Icon. Well, today we have our on brains and with those brains we are beginning to blaze our on trails! It’s a myth people. If you want to wear White then wear White. Heck, you don’t question it when it comes Black ( insert Kermit sipping tea here). So today took my Summer White and made it my Winter White. And the results are on display. LET IT SNOW! Rockin’ my Gray, Cole Haan Zerogrand Wingtips ($278), my White, Levi Jeans from Macy’s ($25 SALE), my favorite vintage belt ($FREE.99), my Sean Jean Crew T’ from Ross ($10 SALE), my Gray, Merona Zip-Up Cardigan, my Navy, Express Top Coat ($270), and my Gray/Black, Banana Republic Vest ($40 SALE). “LIVE ABOVE IT!”
Happy Monday people! You didn’t forget about me did you!? Good. I hope everybody is having a great New Year! I know I am! My post are going to be a bit shorter from here on out because quite frankly I’ve become busier, which is a good thing, right? Anyway, today I just wanted to be Warm, Presentable, & Comfortable. I think I achieved that much. LoL Rockin’ my Zerogrands ($278) which are the epitome of comfort! My Express Khaki Joggers ($40 Sale), my BR Oxford, my Roundtree & York Cardigan ($30 Sale), and my Mossimo Blazer from Target ($70)! Top it all off with a nice tailored Top Coat (Express $278) and you’re ready for the World! Excuse me while I kiss the sky! LoL “LIVE ABOVE IT!”
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hope everyone is having a good one? Good! Well, this post, although jolly, is short and sweet! “C’mon son!” It’s Christmas! Throw on your Zerogrands and a Cardigan or 2 and go be with your Loved ones! 😉 Boy this is some good TEA!
Here’s an extra Tip! Throw everything you need into a backpack! Unfortunately/Fortunately I have work to do today as well, so I have to have everything I need close to me.
Feelin’ SEALLY’ today because of the rain. So I’m going to dress accordingly. I have named this Fit “SEAL!” As in Navy Seal! I love it because it looks like I just got home from a long voyage! Now, what did Seals/Navy men make famous as far as fashion goes? That’s right! The Pea Coat! Well I’ve come up with a look that isn’t quite as warm, but definitely pulls off the same look.
H20 & Seals are synonymous…no pun intended. So I definitely have to ground this Fit with my Black, WATERPROOF Cole Haan Lunargrand Boots! $278
Of course my GAP Moto Jeans by En Noir made the cut. They have that industrial, blue collar feel to them that’s necessary for a Seal! I think I’m going to give my Black BR Jeans away? Hmmmm… $80
Now, for an old favorite that I RARELY get to wear! It’s a Calvin Klein Body Shirt, but because of the Navy…once again, no pun intended LoL, it makes it surprisingly hard to match, but I love the shirt. I suppose that’s why I bought it? LoL $30
Moving on, this is the key to this look. “THIS” being my Denim GAP Jacket. When the collar is turned up it has that Pea Coat feel. Paired with a skully, you invoke the vibe…I like that…”INVOKE THE VIBE!” $40
Now you know I couldn’t pull this off without my MVP! Oh YES. My new Mossimo Blazer from Target. This top Layer is the icing on the cake because of its solid tone & material which is more like a Pea Coat. $60
BONUS TIP:
The cool thing about Layering is that you can remove Layers! A necessary feature especially with the moody weather of Nashville. Simply remove the Denim from the equation and you got yourself a nice, clean, office look!
WELP! I guess that’ll do pup…that’ll do. SEMPER FI gentleman! #FIN.
